 SIMPLE PAST: 

Rosa wrote that letter (aff)  Rosa didn't write that letter (neg)  Did Rosa write that letter? (int)Yes, she did

PAST CONITINUOUS:

Fran was studying all they yesterday (aff) Fran wasn't studying all day yesterday (neg) Was Fran studying all day yesterday? No, he wasn't (int) What was he doing all day yesterday? He was studying (object question)  Who was studying all day yesterday? Fran (subject question)
